Professional Service Agreement

These terms govern your use of Roadrunner Mobile Notary mobile notary services. By scheduling or using our services, you agree to these terms and conditions.

Service Overview

Mobile Notary Services

We provide professional mobile notary services including:

  • Document acknowledgments and jurats
  • Certified copy services
  • Oaths and affirmations
  • Specialized services at jails, hospitals, and residential locations
  • 24/7 availability including emergency services

Service Area

Primary service area includes San Bernardino, Riverside, and Los Angeles counties. Extended coverage available with additional travel fees and advance notice.

Legal Compliance Requirements

California Law Requirements

California law requires all notarizations to be performed in person. Remote online notarization is not available.

Valid government-issued photo identification is required for all notarizations.

  • All notarizations performed according to California Government Code
  • Proper identification verification required for all signers
  • Notary journal records maintained as required by law
  • Impartial service without conflicts of interest

Appointment Terms

Scheduling

  • Appointments scheduled by phone or text
  • 24/7 availability with varying response times
  • Rush and emergency services subject to availability
  • Advance booking recommended for best service
  • Weather and traffic may affect arrival times

Client Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate location and contact information
  • Have valid government-issued photo ID available
  • Ensure all signers are present and willing
  • Review documents before notary arrival
  • Provide safe, accessible meeting location
  • Pay fees at time of service

Fees and Payment

Fee Structure

California Regulated Notarial Fees (Maximum)

Acknowledgment: $15.00

Jurat: $15.00

Certified Copy: $30.00

Oath/Affirmation: $15.00

Travel and Service Fees

Base Travel (starting): $50.00

Additional Mileage: $0.67/mile

Jail Service (starting): $125.00

Hospital Service (starting): $100.00

Evening/Weekend: +$25.00

After Hours: +$50.00

Payment Terms

  • Payment due at time of service
  • Cash, check, credit/debit cards, and digital payments accepted
  • Travel fees apply even if notarization cannot be completed
  • No-show fees may apply after 15-minute wait period
  • Wait time charged at $2/minute after first 15 minutes

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellations

  • Cancellations accepted up to 2 hours before scheduled appointment
  • Emergency cancellations considered case-by-case
  • Repeated cancellations may result in service restrictions

Refunds

  • No refunds for completed notarizations
  • Travel fees non-refundable once notary is en route
  • Refunds considered for service failures on our part
  • Disputed charges handled through direct communication

Service Limitations

What We Cannot Do

  • Provide legal advice or document preparation
  • Notarize incomplete or blank documents
  • Proceed without proper identification
  • Notarize for unwilling or incompetent parties
  • Perform notarizations via video or remote means

Service Refusal

We reserve the right to refuse service when:

  • Proper identification cannot be verified
  • Signer appears unwilling or under duress
  • Document appears fraudulent or incomplete
  • Safe service conditions cannot be maintained
  • Legal or ethical concerns arise

Liability and Insurance

Professional Liability

  • Licensed California notary public
  • Bonded and insured as required by law
  • Professional liability coverage maintained
  • Errors and omissions insurance in effect

Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited to the fees paid for services. We are not responsible for:

  • Document content, validity, or legal effect
  • Consequences of properly performed notarizations
  • Delays due to weather, traffic, or circumstances beyond our control
  • Third-party acceptance or rejection of notarized documents

Privacy and Record Keeping

We maintain strict confidentiality and comply with all privacy requirements:

  • Notary journals maintained for 10 years as required by law
  • Client information protected and not shared unnecessarily
  • Document details kept confidential
  • Privacy policy available at /privacy-policy

Agreement

By scheduling or using our mobile notary services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms of service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

These terms are effective as of 2025-09-05 and remain in effect until updated.
